The society is a non-profit organization that was formed to provide a gynecologic and obstetrical society for New York City and vicinity, (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) to hold meetings at stated intervals affording an open forum for the discussion of various phases of gynecology, obstetrics and allied fields and to advance interest, communication and research in gynecology and obstetrics.
